Travelling around the Belgium

This weekend, I've been quite a tourist: on Saturday, I have visited the centre of Brussels, which included the visit of the Magritte museum. Since I am a big fan of art history, the visit of the museum has ended to fast, but my schedule wouldn't let me stay longer.

On Sunday, I went to Ghent, a beautiful town, just half an hour ride away from Brussels. I have seen the Genth Altar from Jan van Eyck, which is a true masterpiece.
Then, I had taken a train to Brugge. People didn't lie when they had told me that this is one of the prettiest Belgium towns. It reminded me a bit on Venice, because of the river that flows around the whole town.

Anyway, the weekend was nice, but now I am back to work! But of course, the weekend wasn't only educational and cultural; I had attended two amazing parties and I promise that the post about them is soon coming up!

Afterwork party

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Yesterday's after-work party was amazing, but since the pictures can tell more than a thousand words...

Check in

Hey!

Sorry for being MIA, I have been really busy with my first week here in the European Parliament, we are literally work 10 hours a day! But everything here is amazing, people are so nice and they have accepted me really well.
My job here is to visit comitiees that our MEP is not able to attend due to his busy schedule. It is very interesting and I have learned a lot already in these four days.
On Tuesday, the Hungarians have organised wine tasting in the Parliament. It was very fun and it is fascinating how many people I have met, everybody here is really opened and we get along well.

Tonight, we are going on a (deserved!!!) after-work party that in a park besides the Parliament.
And tomorrow, we are going to have a Valentine's Day Party in our house. With that much going on, I promise I will keep you posted!

First night out

Yesterday, my roommates had taken me to a bar, called Delirium Café, which is known for its long beer list, standing at more than 2000 different brands in January 2004 as recorded in the The Guinness Book of Records. We had a fun night and I have celebrated my birthday really well!
Today, I am going to visit Atomium, since it is my last day before I start working, I can't wait :)

Surprise

While I am waiting at the airport, I am going to tell you about the surprise my amazing friends have prepared for me today.
Tomorrow is my birthday and since I won't be home to celebrate it with my friends, they have decided to surprise me today. I don't know how long they have been planning the whole thing, but I am not overreacting when I am saying that I have never been that shocked in my entire life.
I was planning to invite them all in a café to celebrate my birthday, but instead they had bought me a cake from my favourite confectionery so we have actually celebrated my birthday on college!
Only few hours left and I will land in Brussels!

Packing

Today, I have finally realised that I am leaving tomorrow. I had been so occupied with all of the college-work I didn't even have time to think about what am I going to take with me, so at the moment, I am having a bit of a panic attack, running up and down the house and trying to put together everything that I need to take with me.

But the thought of the days that are coming calms me down and I can't even describe how excited I am about my trip!!

The beginning

The reason behind creating this blog is that I am leaving my country soon, mostly in order to gain experience in law, but also because of my great passion for travelling and exploring the world.
Firstly, I am going to Brussels, Belgium for about a month and then I will be heading to Antalya, a beautiful city, located on a beautiful Turkish coast. I am absolutely positive that spending some time abroad is going to be an unique experience and therefore, I would like to share it with you.

But first, I need to complete all of my college obligations! Although I am still not quite sure how will I manage everything... but let's keep our fingers crossed!
